Charity Events Many of you recently sponsored Andy Machell for the Great South Run a way of raising money for Leukaemia Research, in memory of Jamie Blagg. Andy just wanted to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to you all for helping him raise over £900 Well here he is crossing the line 1:22 minutes after the start… some10 miles behind him.. …….Knackered
The staff and students of the DMS have spent some time raising cash for the chosen charity this year. It was easy to select after the tragic death of Jamie Blagg, to Leukaemia. Students from the recent BMT & Officers courses raised money by arranging many events; these events have included Horse racing nights and a Little Britain night. All events were well supported and much of their hard earned cash has been collected: staff and students have raised £2000 and my little jog raised £872 which has now grown to £942 after a couple of late donations.
